About Kristie

My work has grown through a long relationship with healing — and the deeper questions that sit beneath it.

At nineteen, I was first drawn to reiki. From there, my path widened into hands-on and subtle explorations: massage and reflexology; the quiet languages of flower essences and aromatherapy; periods of study in naturopathy, homeopathy, and colour therapy. Each offered a way of listening — to the body, to energy, to what moves beneath words — yet none, on their own, felt complete.

Discovering kinesiology was a turning point for me. It brought many of these threads together, offering a way to listen through the body and work integratively with physical, emotional, and energetic experience. For more than a decade, I worked in private practice as a kinesiologist, accompanying people through change, challenge, and growth.

Alongside professional training, my own practices have shaped me just as deeply. Meditation and breathwork, creative journalling, and long periods of quiet reflection have been part of my life for many years. They have steadied me, challenged me, and slowly taught me how to stay present with what is uncomfortable rather than move quickly to fix it.

Over time, this changed the way I work. I’ve come to trust that what supports healing is not technique alone, but the quality of attention we bring. When there is enough space and care, people begin to meet what is already there — in their own way and in their own time.

This recognition led me into transpersonal therapy. From the outset, it felt less like learning something new and more like finding language for a way of working that had been present all along — one that could hold psyche and body, symbol and meaning, creativity and care, with depth and integrity.

On a more personal level, my husband and sons have also been teachers. They continue to inform how I listen and how I hold others, returning the work again and again to what is real, embodied, and human.

Today, these strands are no longer separate. They have ripened into an integrated offering best described as Inner Work— grounded in transpersonal therapy, shaped by presence and relationship, and informed by years of embodied and subtle practice.

I live and work in the Perth Hills, where Heartspace is quietly attuned to this place — its seasons, its slowness, and the living presence of the land on which I meet others.

Why Heartspace

I chose Heartspace as a quiet reminder to stay close to heart-knowing — to let the work be guided by something deeper than the mind alone. It reflects a commitment to listening inwardly, and to allowing sessions to remain spacious, responsive, and alive.

Over time, I began to notice something else living inside the name — the art space within Heartspace. It mirrored a longing for creativity to return more fully into my life, and for the imaginal ways of knowing that shaped me in childhood to have a place once again. At first, it felt more like a remembering than a plan. In many ways, that seed has continued to grow, leading me toward visioning, creative inquiry, and the work I now offer as Inner Work.
